Delta | Part I
Better lighting, fresh paint, new fixtures, and various days were hustled into the area. We wanted the space that we had to work both as a stately sanctuary and a cozy church office.
We spent our days painting walls, fixing fixtures, cleaning corners, and getting rid of/adding to the general atmosphere of the place via furniture and lighting.
When we applied the first coat of paint, we were pleasantly surprised at the freshness it brought and were encouraged to move on with our venture.
We worked steadfastly and within the time frame of the war curfew (8 am to 11 pm), which initially brought some newfound complications to our schedule.
However, every day after packing our supplies and getting ready for the next, there was an insurmountable feeling of goodness.
It’s quite hard to explain in the format of words on a screen, other than knowing that we were being used to do good. And that was enough to combat our tiredness for the day’s end.
