Delta | Part II
Our work to change the church’s appearance concluded twenty minutes before the beginning of the service.
As the worship band started to show up for practice, their reactions to the new change left me smiling, and the genuine atmosphere helped us tie everything together.
The last of the supplies were gathered into the car, and we quickly began getting ready in the children’s room as people started flocking into the newly-refurbished space.
Slipping out into the homely sanctuary, already filled with people, I felt a sense of completeness. It was, without a doubt, something good, as if a last puzzle piece had been fit into its place to unveil a masterpiece.
The area could now work indefinitely well with the events it would be occupied for. I was sure of it.

Later that day, we had to return to the office to lead our usual small group/game night. This time, in a changed setting.
Our evening was spent so well that when we looked at the clock, it was already 10:30, leaving only thirty minutes to lock the office up, say our goodbyes, and get home before the set curfew!

\Third small group\
We all promised each other that another home group would be scheduled for the following week. And on the scheduled day, we realized that twice the amount of people had come to spend time with each other. A father told us that this was the first time he had seen his wife and daughter smile since the war began. He didn’t know what it would take to hear their laughter once again.
It was beyond what I had expected - everyone was in a state of deep shock and gratitude. To be an initiator of a change like this felt incredibly humbling.
“Still, the fact that everyone can eat and drink and enjoy the good that results from all his work, is a gift of God.”
-Ecclesiastes 3:13 CJB
